    Members are not permitted to demand that mentors present identification, share live or recorded sessions (e.g., Zoom calls), or provide access to personal devices and systems. Mentors may choose their preferred communication methods, and all interactions must respect professional boundaries.

    This rule aligns with privacy protections under Japanese law, particularly the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), which requires that personal information be collected, used, and disclosed only for specified and necessary purposes, in a lawful and appropriate manner, and within a limited scope. Disclosure of personal information outside normal guidance or mentoring sessions is permitted only with the mentor’s explicit and voluntary consent, or when required by law, such as in cases involving imminent risk to life or safety, legal obligations, or court orders.
